  School Cancellation
The Superintendent of Schools makes a "No School" ruling only when transportation to school is unsafe.  In such cases, local radio stations: 1420 AM, 1480 AM, 107.1 FM, 93.3 FM, 98.1 FM, 92.3 FM. and television stations Fox 25, DCTV Cable 18, Channel 6, 10, 12,  will send out a notice beginning at 6:00 a.m.  In addition, you can visit the Dartmouth Public School websites at  http://dartmouthps.schoolfusion.us.

Our phone system has the ability to call each student's primary phone number to alert them about school cancellation or delay.  This feature is also used to remind families about early dismissal days as well.  If you are not receiving these informational phone calls, please contact the school to make sure that we have all of your updated information.

* If school is cancelled or dismissed early due to inclement weather, all student extra-curricular activities will be cancelled.  This also includes PTO and School Council Meetings.

Delayed Opening

The Superintendent of Schools may delay, the start of the school day up to 2 hrs. due to inclement weather.  In the case of a delayed opening, the school buses WILL run the same route as a regular school day, just 1 hr. or 2 hrs. later.

Example:  If a students bus route pick up time is 8:45 on a regular school day then------
* 1 hr. delay pick up time will be 9:45------(school will begin at 10:05)
Students cannot be allowed to enter school until 9:45, due to lack of supervision

* 2 hr. delay pick up time will be 10:45------(school will begin at 11:05)
Students cannot be allowed to enter school until 10:45, due to lack of supervision

Breakfast WILL NOT be served on these days.   Lunch WILL be served.
